The history of the Milsa Group dates back to 1959 when an association of road construction material companies, named Granitas, was established. During this period, companies of the Milsa Group generated over 50 million tonnes of crushed granite and dolomite.
Currently, the Milsa Group is one of the largest producers of crushed granite and dolomite in Lithuania and is able to supply more than 1 million tonnes of crushed granite and more than 3 million tonnes of crushed dolomite a year. During the period of highest demand, 20 000 tonnes of produce is sold on a daily basis. The Group is active in Lithuania, Latvia and Poland. Its main clients are road, bridge and railway construction companies, manufacturers of concrete and reinforced concrete products, and construction companies.
The Milsa Group has provided its production to the following major projects during the last 30 years: Via Baltica, Rail Baltica, Vilnius airport runway reconstruction, construction of Vilnius western and southern bypasses, long-term gravel roads programme and other strategic infrastructure projects in Lithuania and neighbouring countries.
The Milsa Group annually invests over € 3 million into the technological renovation of its manufacturing companies.
The Group's companies have established Milsa ir Ko Association Aggregates Producers. The Milsa Group also participates in the activities of the Lithuanian Roads Association and Construction Industry Association.
